Lincoln Land Community College’s Career Development Services strives to provide our students, alumni, and community members, with the resources necessary to prepare for and maintain suitable employment.  Our career computer lab is equipped with software to help you create a professional resume and cover letter.  Mock interviews and practice tests for state exams are available.  If you are having trouble deciding on a career we have Career Cruising to help you explore hundreds of careers.  Sometimes the best way to get your foot in the door is to do an internship with a company.  Check out the Cooperative Work Study program to find out about internships that pay a salary as well earning you college credit.  You can even do an internship at Walt Disney World in California or Florida!

 Free Online Course Prepares Students for Workplace Entry!

A new, free online course to help college students and recent graduates better prepare for entry into the workplace is now available. JobSTART 101: Smart Tips and Real-World Training is a first-of-its-kind course developed by the Business Roundtable and the HR Policy Association, with support from Accenture. Topics in the course range from how to communicate and solve problems to how to develop a successful business persona. Students may complete the course in 90 minutes or tackle six topical modules individually and participate in interactive components such as videos and workbooks.
