This course provides a traditional classroom setting in which to
learn the skills necessary to be successful in college.

Topics covered include:   

  • Making the transition from high school to college
  • How to take effective notes and how to use those notes
  • How to read textbooks more effectively with better recall of information
  • How to prepare for exams: multiple choice, true/false, and essay examinations
  • Learn critical thinking to become a more effective test taker
  • Learn how to manage your finances: credit cards, student loans...
  • How to work with your brain
