 Ryan Roberts: Professor / Librarian

I started working at Lincoln Land Community College in August 2000.  As a faculty librarian, I am responsible for instructing students about information fluency, answering questions at the reference desk, providing guidance in collection development, serving on campus-wide committees, and much more. 

I am currently Vice President of the Faculty Senate, Chair of the Grants for Innovative Teaching committee, a member of the Shared Governance Task Force, and an active member in several other committees.

Julian Barnes Website (www.julianbarnes.com): I maintain the official website for the British author Julian Barnes. His works include Flaubert's Parrot, A History of the World in 10½ Chapters, and the New York Times Bestselling Arthur & George. I am co-editor with Vanessa Guignery of Conversations with Julian Barnes (University Press of Mississippi, 2009).  Ms. Guignery and I interviewed Mr. Barnes in April 2007, and the conversation will be published as the final interview of the collection.

Ian McEwan Website (www.ianmcewan.com): I also maintain the official website for British author Ian McEwan. His works include The Cement Garden, First Love, Last Rights, the Booker Prize winning Amsterdam, and the internationally award winning novel Atonement, which was recently adapted as a film starring Keira Knightley.  I am in the process of editing Conversations with Ian McEwan (University Press of Mississippi, 2010), which will also conclude with a new author interview conducted in June 2008.

James Fenton Website (www.jamesfenton.com): Since the summer of 2005, I have maintained the website of British poet and critic James Fenton.  Fenton was Professor of Poetry at Oxford University in 1994, and in 2007 was awarded the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry.

Hermione Lee Website (www.hermionelee.com): In 2006, I became webmaster for Hermione Lee, lecturer, critic, and biographer of Willa Cather, Virginia Woolf, and Edith Wharton.  As of October 2008, Lee is serving as President of Wolfson College Oxford.

Ian Hamilton Website (www.ianhamilton.org): I am currently working to design the official website of poet, critic, biographer, and editor Ian Hamilton.  The site is being developed in consultation with the Ian Hamilton Estate and is expected to be fully operational by Summer 2009.

Editorial Work

Between the Lines (www.interviews-with-poets.com): I serve as the Editorial Assistant to this British publisher. Between the Lines specializes in publishing in-depth interviews with the best contemporary poets.
