Mission and Goals

The mission of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) is to encourage and support the exceptional teaching and scholarship of the faculty at Lincoln Land Community College through providing resources and various activities.

CELT's goal is to outline the direction of the College’s comprehensive faculty professional development program based on the vision and mission statements of the college. We recognize that investing in preparation for teaching and proactively planning for improvement of the students’ learning is the cornerstone on which student success is built. Therefore the objective for existence of this center is to create opportunities for faculty to share information about pedagogy and other instructional resources that encourage interactive teaching and learning.
