Welcome to the LLCC Green Center

Welcome to the LLCC Green CenterWelcome to Lincoln Land Community College's GREEN CENTER.  As you navigate through our site, please note that the site is still under construction.

As the world and residents of central Illinois transition towards meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to satisfy their needs, it became apparent a centralized informational site was needed to assist with this effort.

The broad focus of sustainability includes environmental impacts to the atmosphere, forests, cultivated land and water from human interventions.  Energy generation, food production and materials manufactured for construction are just a few of the processes that will effect a cultural, psychological and behavioral change of the residents of our planet.

As we struggle to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation - the key is knowledge of best green practices.  To this end, Lincoln Land Community College - Workforce Development and Community Education is excited to present our GREEN CENTER.  This is your site and will depend on your support to prosper - please contact us with your suggestions and ideas at GreenCenter@llcc.edu.
