“This is a big step forward for the online education program that began more than 12 years ago at LLCC,” said Becky Parton, associate dean of instructional technology and distance education. “Our online students can now start and finish a complete degree online.
“Online education continues to grow in popularity and scope, as it appeals to adults who have jobs, families and responsibilities,” added Ms. Parton. “They can improve themselves and their career prospects by earning online degrees and certificates, while still maintaining their jobs. And LLCC’s affordable costs makes online learning especially appealing in these economic times.”
LLCC’s online programs employ technologies such as iTunesU, podcasts, blogging, wikis and social networking. Persons interested in learning more about online learning are invited to visit www.llcc.edu/online or call 786.2890.
