Volunteers are needed to work with adults who are reading or computing below a 9th grade level. Tutors work one-on-one with adults or in adult education classes throughout the Lincoln Land district. Training for individuals interested in becoming literacy tutors will be held Mondays, May 7 and 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Lincoln Land‘s main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road in Springfield. In addition, a training session is being offered from 2 to 5 p.m. on the same dates for those who are unable to attend the evening session.
