LLCC TEAL program seeks literacy volunteers
|

SPRINGFIELD—Lincoln Land Community College’s TEAL (Training and Education for Adult Learners) program is looking for individuals interested in becoming literacy tutors. Volunteers are needed to work with adults who are reading or computing below a 9th grade level. Tutors work one-on-one with adults or in adult education classes throughout the Lincoln Land district.
Training for individuals interested in becoming literacy tutors will be held Mondays, May 7 and 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Lincoln Land‘s main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road in Springfield. In addition, a training session is being offered from 2 to 5 p.m. on the same dates for those who are unable to attend the evening session.
