LLCC student art show winners announced
|

SPRINGFIELD–The 2007 Lincoln Land Community College Juried Student Art Show winners were announced at an awards ceremony and reception Thursday, April 26. The art show runs weekdays through Friday, May 11 in the James S. Murray Art Gallery in Menard Hall on LLCC’s main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield.
Gil Rocha, assistant professor of art at Richland Community College, served as juror for the show.
There were 120 entries for the show with 57 being accepted. Student art winners in the following award categories include:
Printmaking/Drawing: James T. Elliott of Springfield, “Teddy Bear Hunt”, Woodcut Honorable Mention: Mary McDonald of Springfield, “Abstract”, Graphite; Paul Jurgens of Springfield, “Boxes”, and Paul Jurgens of Springfield, “Paper Bag”, Graphite
Painting/2-D Design: Amanda Greive of Edinburg, “My Mother’s Daughter”, Oil Honorable Mention: Brittney Hudgins of Williamsville, “Life, Death, Text”, Acrylic
