Over 200 vehicles are expected to be on display this Friday and Saturday as the Lincoln Land Community College MotorSports Club hosts its fourth annual cruise-in and car show. The event will be held on LLCC’s main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield, beginning with a free “Park and Peek” from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. Friday. The show continues Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Judging begins at 11:00 a.m. along with an Auto Cross event with timed runs by the Central Illinois Region (CIR) of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). In addition, a swap meet, vendors, door prizes, 50/50 drawing, food and music will be featured. Car enthusiasts who wish to participate may still register their cars Friday evening or Saturday morning at the MotorSports booth. Entry fee is $15. The first 100 participants will receive a free T-shirt. Trophies for first, second and third places will be awarded in 36 entry and award classification divisions in addition to “best of” trophies.
