LLCC names three new administrators

SPRINGFIELD—Three new administrators joined the staff at Lincoln Land Community College July 1:  Judy Jozaitis, Ed.D., vice president of workforce development and community education; Esteban Cruz, chief information officer; and Tyra Taylor, associate vice president of enrollment services.

Judy Jozaitis, Ed.D., comes to LLCC from Triton College, River Grove, Illinois, where she served as the dean of continuing education.  She also served in the positions of interim dean/assistant dean of workforce development and community services and director of business and industry training at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois.  Dr. Jozaitis has extensive experience in workforce development, small business and economic development, customized training, continuing education, community education, adult basic education, as well as English as a Second Language.

Dr. Jozaitis received both her Doctor of Adult Education and Master of Education degrees from National-Louis University, and received her bachelor’s degree in art education from Northern Illinois University. 

Esteban Cruz formerly served as the director of management information systems at Morton College in Cicero, Illinois, and prior to that served as their web developer and information systems project manager.  His experience also includes developing a virtual store business named Back Porch Imports, serving as a graphic design supervisor for Vehicle Technologies in Mexico City, Mexico, and as a webmaster assistant for the United Nations Information Center for Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic in Mexico City.

Cruz has a bachelor’s degree in communication from National Autonomous University of Mexico and an MBA with an emphasis in e-business from DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.  He is an active member of Business Architects Association and National Society of Hispanic MBAs.

Tyra Taylor served as the dean of enrollment management and retention services at Kaskaskia College in Centralia before joining LLCC.  Prior to that she held the position of director of enrollment services at Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, Illinois, following her tenure as the director of student support services. Taylor also served as counselor/grant manager at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Illinois.  She has extensive grant writing experience at the state and federal levels and has taught psychology and student success courses at the college level. 

Taylor received her Master of Science degree in educational psychology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and her bachelor’s from Murray State University, Murray, KY.  She is a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, Illinois Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers and the Illinois Community College Admission and Records Officials Organization.
