|
JACKSONVILLE -- Lincoln Land Community College’s Western Region Education Center in Jacksonville will offer a variety of classes during the upcoming fall term, which starts August 18.
All credit classes can be applied toward certificates and/or associate degrees which transfer to four-year colleges and universities. In addition, individuals can take classes to upgrade their current work skills or to earn Certificates of Completion for welding, LPN, CNA, plus many others, without ever leaving Jacksonville.
Featured this fall are an emergency medical technician basic certificate program, and evening sessions of statistics, calculus and general education mathematics. A basic computer class for senior citizens is offered on Saturday mornings.
Senior citizens age 65 and older may enroll in any LLCC credit class tuition-free. Parents should ask about dual credit classes for college-bound and home-schooled students wishing to earn high school and college credit concurrently.
Tuition for residents of the LLCC District is $72 per credit hour. Financial aid is available for those who qualify and LLCC offers an installment payment plan through eCashier. LLCC also accepts MasterCard, Discover, and VISA. More information is available by calling 243.6699 (toll-free 888.494.1622) or in Beardstown at 323.4103 (toll-free 877.800.4406).
