FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                        Date: August 23, 2007 Contact:  Diane Buzick, 786.4508, diane.buzick@llcc.edu SPRINGFIELD—Lincoln Land Community College’s Community Learning department is offering a personal/family budgeting workshop, “Realizing Your Dreams on a Limited Income,” this fall.  The workshop meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 18 through Nov. 13, in room 2203 in the Millennium Center on LLCC’s main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield. Participants will learn how to resolve financial problems, set priorities, change budgeting habits and reach their financial dreams.  Topics will include secrets to saving money, cutting food and utility costs, the true cost of transportation, avoiding credit card traps, best choices for retirement financing, how to reduce insurance costs, home decorating on a shoestring budget, less costly vacations, gifts and entertainment.
