LLCC citizenship class begins Sept. 15 in Beardstown
|

SPRINGFIELD—Immigrants interested in the United States of America citizenship application process are invited to enroll in the upcoming citizenship class at Lincoln Land Community College. The class will meet from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays beginning Sept. 15 at the LLCC Western Region Education Center-Beardstown at 109 White Pine Lane. There is no charge for the class and materials are provided.
During the eight-week course, instructor Brad Woodruff will explain citizenship eligibility and the application process. Information about the history of the U.S., the Constitution and government will also be provided. Additionally, students will have the opportunity throughout the course to practice the English needed during the citizenship interview.
Students may pre-register now for classes. Those interested in enrolling in citizenship or other English as a Second Language classes may call the LLCC Western Region Education Center-Beardstown at 323.4103 or 1.800.666.8325 (TEAL).
