Major league players and Lincoln Land Community College graduates Ryan O’Malley of the Chicago Cubs and Justin Knoedler of the San Francisco Giants will provide instruction at the LLCC Winter Baseball Camp December 27, 28 and 29. The camp will be held in Cass Gymnasium on the LLCC main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road in Springfield. There will be separate sessions for players age 8-11 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and age 12 and up from noon to 2:30 p.m. Also instructing will be Ron Riggle, LLCC head baseball coach; Eric Weaver, former major league pitcher for the Dodgers and Phillies and LLCC pitching coach; and Jason Knoedler, former major league player. Cost is $100, which includes a camp T-shirt. Registration is available by calling the LLCC Athletic Department at 786.2426.
