Seventh Annual Banned Books Reading at LLCC Oct. 3 SPRINGFIELD – The seventh annual Banned Books Reading at Lincoln Land Community College will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, from noon to 1 p.m. The reading, to which the public is invited, will take place in the lounge area of the LLCC library located in Sangamon Hall on the college’s main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield. LLCC students and faculty will read from works of literature that have been challenged or banned including The Bluest Eye, Leaves of Grass, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden and Annie on My Mind. The event is being held in conjunction with the American Library Association's National Banned Books Week.
