Contact: Lynn Whalen, lynn.whalen@llcc.edu SPRINGFIELD – Lincoln Land Community College will present “Food for the Soul,” a concert featuring LLCC’s Big Band and Stolen Moments Band, directed by Jane Hartman, on Monday evening, Nov. 26. The concert will be held at First Christian Church, 6th and Cook Streets in Springfield, and begins at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited at no charge, and in conjunction with Kumler Food Pantry, canned food items will be accepted at the door. “We hope the public will come enjoy ‘Food For The Soul’ as we help to feed others who are in need,” said Ms. Hartman, associate professor of music at LLCC and well-known area musician. Featured soloists will include Shayla Logan, Adam Pallai, Byrd Davis and Al Reichart. An original jazz piece by Michael Withrow entitled “Maribel” will be premiered.
