Petitions of candidacy are now available for two seats on the Lincoln Land Community College District #526 Board of Trustees. The seats will be filled in the April 17, 2007 election. One seat is for a representative from Sub-district #2 (South Central and Eastern Springfield) and the other is for Sub-district #4 (Logan County, Eastern Sangamon County, Christian County, DeWitt County and Macon County). Those elected will serve a two-year term on the LLCC Board of Trustees. In 2009, all trustee seats will be open for election. The period for picking up candidate packages and circulating nomination papers began November 7 and continues through January 28, 2007. The candidate packages contain all pertinent information for prospective candidates. Petitions and packages may be picked up only at the Office of the Assistant to the Vice President, Administrative Services in Menard Hall, room 1240, on the campus of Lincoln Land Community College, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield. The completed petitions must also be filed in that office. The official filing period will begin at 8:00 a.m. on January 29, 2007 and end at 5:00 p.m. on February 5, 2007.
