"Mistletoe and Holly,” a recital by the Jane Hartman Trio, will be presented at Lincoln Land Community College the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 2 as part of the 2007-08 LLCC Recital Series. The public is invited at no admission charge to the 4:00 p.m. program in the Trutter Center. The Jane Hartman Trio is a multiple winner of the Illinois Times’ Best Jazz Combo award, has represented the city of Springfield twice in tours of Japan and also toured England with the Fleming Academy. The Trio regularly performs locally at Springfield’s Lime Street Café. Members include pianist, vocalist and composer Jane Hartman, associate professor of music at LLCC; Gene Haas, professor emeritus of music at LLCC on bass; and Brian Justison, associate professor of music and coordinator of percussion studies at Millikin University on drums. Seasonal selections at the recital will include “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “My Grownup Christmas List” and “O Holy Night.”
