FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                Date:  December 5, 2007 Contact:  Diane Buzick, 786.4508, diane.buzick@llcc.edu SPRINGFIELD–The Lincoln Land Community College Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for the 2008-2009 academic year.  Applications are available for both first-time freshmen and continuing students.   Students who will be first-time freshmen in fall 2008 should apply by January 30.  First-time freshmen include students who have not attended a post-secondary institution (college, university or trade school) since earning a high school diploma or equivalent. Continuing college students, those who have attended LLCC or another post-secondary institution since earning a high school diploma or equivalent, have until May 30, 2008 to apply. Applications for 2008-2009 LLCC Foundation scholarships are available at the LLCC Foundation, in LLCC’s Financial Aid Office, on display racks located on the main campus or at any LLCC regional education center. Students can also visit www.llccfoundation.org for a copy of the application. Each year, generous donors make it possible for the LLCC Foundation to award more than $200,000 in scholarships to LLCC students.
