FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                        Date:  December 17, 2007 Contact:  Diane Buzick, 786.4508, diane.buzick@llcc.edu SPRINGFIELD—Lincoln Land Community College will be closed for winter recess Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008.  The college’s main campus, East Springfield Learning Center (1507 E. Cook) and regional education centers in Beardstown, Hillsboro, Jacksonville, Litchfield and Taylorville will resume regular business hours Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008.  The LLCC Capital City Training Center and LLCC Small Business Development Center will be open; however, students should contact each center for daily hours of operation, 524.6749 (CCTC) and 544.7232 (SBDC). For students wishing to enroll, registration for spring classes will resume Wednesday, Jan. 2 and run through Friday, Jan. 11.   Spring classes begin Saturday, Jan. 12. A “Registration Blitz” will be held Friday, Jan. 4 from 8 a.m. to midnight and Saturday, Jan. 5 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is designed for students, new and returning, interested in enrolling in spring credit or non-credit classes.  Students can meet with an advisor, take a placement test if necessary, arrange for financial aid, register for classes and purchase books.  Payment by cash, check or credit card is expected at time of registration.  A tuition payment plan is available with a $25 fee and a 25 percent down payment (cash, check or credit card).
