Contact: Lynn Whalen, lynn.whalen@llcc.edu, 217.786.2219 SPRINGFIELD – Lincoln Land Community College will conduct a “Registration Blitz” on Friday, Jan. 4, 8:00 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday, Jan. 5, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to allow students to enroll and register for spring semester classes, all in one stop. Spring classes begin Jan. 12. The extended hours of the event are designed to assist working individuals and others unable to visit campus during regular business hours. Families are welcome to attend, with refreshments and prizes featured. A full staff will be on hand to help students through the enrollment and registration process. The Registration Blitz takes place in the student services hallway of Menard Hall on the main campus, 5250 Shepherd Road. Students interested in financial aid are asked to bring 2006 tax returns. Payment by cash, check or credit card is expected at the time of registration. A payment plan is available which requires a $25 fee and a minimum of 25 percent down payment. Placement tests are required for some enrolling students and take an average of one and one half hours. Tuition and fees for residents of the LLCC district totals $82 per credit hour, with financial aid and scholarships available for those who qualify. Those unable to attend the Registration Blitz are invited to visit the main campus or one of LLCC’s regional education centers, or call Registration Services at 217.786.2292 (800.727.4161, ext. 62292) for enrollment assistance. LLCC is closed for the holiday break Dec. 19 through Jan. 1.
