Ron Gregoire, director of admissions and records at Lincoln Land Community College, has been elected president of the Illinois Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (IACRAO). The association serves more than 500 members representing 90 public and private institutions of higher education statewide. Gregoire has been active in the organization for 15 years and has held the position of district chair twice. He most recently served as president-elect. A 19-year employee of LLCC, he holds master’s degrees from Eastern Illinois University and the former Sangamon State University (now University of Illinois-Springfield), a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois and an associate degree from Kankakee Community College. IACRAO, the single state regional member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, is a professional organization which serves its members through education, professional development, interaction with other professional groups and promotion of pertinent legislation. The association conducts a yearly statewide conference and district conferences, and awards scholarships to deserving students.
