LLCC offers free GED and TEEM classes in Hillsboro and Litchfield

SPRINGFIELD— Lincoln Land Community College’s TEAL (Training and Education for Adult Learners) program is once again offering free classes for preparation of the GED exam. Instruction includes reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Classes are held four mornings a week at the LLCC Southern Region Education Center at 102 No. Main Street in Hillsboro while evening classes are offered twice a week at the LLCC Southern Region Education Center, #1 Lincoln Land Drive in Litchfield.

The TEAL program also offers TEEM (Technology for Education and Employability Mastery) classes, which cover basic office skills.  TEEM classes are designed for the unemployed or underemployed student looking to improve their skills for employment opportunities. The self-paced instruction includes introduction to computers, word processing, filing and bookkeeping.

An English as a Second Language (ESL) class is being held at China Town Restaurant in Litchfield two mornings a week and offers basic instruction in English, including speaking, listening, reading and writing.
