Security alert issued on main campus
|
The following security alert was issued this afternoon (Thursday, Feb. 28) at Lincoln Land Community College.
Lincoln Land Community College Police and Security Department Brad Gentry, Director
Memorandum To: LLCC College Community From: Brad Gentry, LLCCPSD Date: 02/28/08 Re: Campus Safety Alert
At this time the Lincoln Land Community College Police Department is investigating a threatening message found written on the inside of a women’s bathroom stall on the second floor of Menard Hall, west-side of the building.
At approximately 12:08pm, an anonymous student reported finding the words “Everyone will die,” followed by the number 15, with a circle around it. Upon investigation, officers found that the graffiti appeared to say "Everyone dies." It was written on the wall in pencil.
At this time, we do not feel this represents a credible threat to the safety of the campus community; however, we are taking it very seriously, and wanted to make sure the campus community was aware of the situation. Patrols will be increased to help alleviate safety concerns.
If anyone has any information regarding this crime, please contact us at the number listed below.
