FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE    Date: March 6, 2008 Contact:  Diane Buzick, 786.4508 or diane.buzick@llcc.edu SPRINGFIELD—Lincoln Land Community College will conduct a controlled prairie burn on Saturday, March 15 beginning at 8 a.m.  The burn is estimated to last two hours and will take place on the north side of the main campus located at 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield. The controlled burn is a coordinated effort of LLCC’s Facilities Services department, Fire Science Technology program and student biology clubs, and has been approved by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.  In the case of inclement weather, the burn will be rescheduled.
