Lincoln Land Community College will offer a course in basic metal arc and oxyacetylene welding beginning in January at A-C Central High School in Ashland. This course is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of arc welding fundamentals, welding safety, arc welding machines, electrode classifications and electrode selection. It is the first in a series of courses leading to a certificate of completion as a welding operator. The class will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:50 p.m. beginning January 17.
