TAYLORVILLE — Lincoln Land Community College’s Eastern Region Education Center hosted Lincoln Land Night during the Rochester/Pleasant Plains basketball game at Rochester High School Jan. 19.
Lincoln Land Nights celebrate the partnership LLCC has with area high schools. Rochester High School participates in LLCC’s dual credit program in which students can earn high school and college credit simultaneously.
As part of the halftime activities, two attendees were selected to participate in a free throw competition. Bill Grant, of Pleasant Plains, won a $200 gas card, while Curtis Baker, of Rochester, was awarded the consolation prize of a $100 gas card.
LLCC’s EREC is also celebrating dual-credit partnerships this academic year with Nokomis, Taylorville, South Fork and Edinburg high schools.
