Born in Normal, Illinois, Theresa grew up and began her flute playing in Bettendorf, Iowa. She has played extensively throughout America and Europe. Her experiences include playing in the opera orchestra Pforzheimer Stadtstheater, the Wuerttembergishe Philharmonie and the Opera at Ahoy. She has taught flute both in the United States and in Germany.
Theresa holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Western Illinois University and a master’s degree in music from University of Illinois. Theresa has played in the Watseka Summer Opera Festival and has been principal flute for the Kankakee Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with the Celtic Fusion band, the Emerald Underground (Flutes and Irish Whistles), the Samba Llamas (Bossa Nova and Pagode) and currently actively performs with singer song writer Tom Irwin. They have opened concerts for the John Byrne Band and Gaelic Storm and also host an annual music festival at Clayville, Illinois. Theresa teaches privately in Springfield, Illinois and is a flute and music adjunct faculty member at Lincoln Land Community College.
