CIS is one of the fastest growing and highest paying fields in the nation. Within this field, one career option is computer systems analyst. Employment opportunities for computer systems analysts have much faster than average growth, including projected 20.9 percent growth from 2014 to 2024. The U.S. Department of Labor expects approximately 191,600 job openings due to growth and replacement needs in this particular segment. The 2016 median annual wage for computer system analysts was $87,220.

The mission of LLCC Computer Science is to provide a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the field, including computer programming, networking, CISCO certification, cyber security, database management and electronics in order to prepare students for university transfer and/or a career in the CIS field.

Computer science (CSC) courses have a standard tuition rate. For the 2017-2018 academic year, CSC courses have an in-district rate of $121 per credit hour. Fees are $11 per credit hour. Get more information on tuition and fees.
