 Registration

Students must be admitted to LLCC before registering. All outstanding debts (tuition, library, fees, etc) or other "holds" (suspension, academic problems, etc) must be cleared prior to registration.  Students are responsible for observing all course prerequisites and other restrictions when registering.  Check with an academic advisor to avoid mistakes!  Individuals with disabilities should contact the Special Needs office at 217-786-2869 for disabilities services.

If you register through Registration Services on the main campus, you may register in person or by calling 786-2292.  Outside Springfield call 1-800-727-4161, ext. 6-2292.  TDD: 786-2798.  Phone registration is available for students who have already been admitted.  Registration Services in Menard Hall is open the following regular hours:

  • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.CST, Monday through Thursday
  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.CST, Friday
  • Closed on Saturday and Sunday

Extended Hours for 2009: 

  • April 25 - May 7, 2009, Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - noon
  • June 1 - June 11, Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • August 10 - August 27, Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - noon
  • October 24 - November 5, Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - noon

Summer Hours:

  • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, Monday through Thursday
  • Closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday

During peak registration the main phone line on campus experiences heavy usage. 

If you register in person, you need to complete a registration form available at the counter.  If you register by phone, have the following information ready when you call:

  • name, social security number, address
  • course title, course number, course section number
  • credit card number information if you plan to charge your tuition and fees

You cannot register by phone if you have not been admitted or if you have any academic or financial restrictions.

If you choose to register at one of the LLCC regional education centers, the requirements and restrictions are the same as for on-campus registration. Check with the center nearest you for information about operating hours.

 Tuition Payment

If you register early, you must pay your tuition and fees by that term's deadline.  Consult your LLCC bill for specific information.  This will reserve your place in your classes.  If you have registered early and the college has not received your payment of tuition and fees by the specified date, your registration will be cancelled for all classes.  You will then need to register again with payment due at the time of re-registration. The tuition due date for Summer 2009 is May 18, 2009. The tuition due date for Fall 2009 is July 27, 2009.
