Lincoln Land Community College offers green industry and sustainability training opportunities for professionals in a variety of fields.
Currently, we are offering Building Performance Institute (BPI) training and are preparing to offer Building Operator Certification courses.

Certified Production Technician
Designed by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), an industry-led, nationally recognized, training, assessment and certification organization, this program focuses on the core technical competencies needed by incumbent and entry-level production workers in industrial, manufacturing, and other technically intensive fields.
The CPT program consists of four individual certificate modules. Earn one or more individual certificate, or complete all four and receive the CPT certification. Learn more about the CPT program!
Solar PV Training
LLCC is partnering with Illinois Solar Energy Association to offer this educational opportunity to those interested in renewable energy job training. Learn more about about solar PV training!
PV101 – Introduction to Photovoltaics
This one-day course uses a combination of lecture and classroom activities to teach the basics of solar electric systems. Participants will learn how photovoltaic (PV) systems work, diagram the four PV system types, describe and identify components, understand the best application and limitations of each system type, define the solar window, make energy efficiency recommendations, estimate system loads and understand the basics of PV site assessment.
PV201 – Site Assessor Training
Participants in this eight-hour course will learn how to perform a PV site assessment for a home or small business. The course will cover site assessment tools, load analysis, energy efficiency recommendations, array placement options, basic system sizing, cost estimates and evaluating existing infrastructure on site. Participants will learn how to access online tools for solar resource analysis, PV system performance calculators and incentives.
