Electronic Portfolios
As creative and meaningful way of organizing, summarizing, and sharing information, Electronic Portfolios have been adopted in three programs at LLCC. These collections are with an exploratory purpose will serve to share ideas about learning, along with and professional growth. We hope to be able to use these e-portfolios for the assessment. Because the reflective process of portfolio development can be as important as the final product, we pay extra attention in including and evaluating the students’ reflection pieces. We use the electronic portfolios as part of faculty and student evaluation along with other assessment tools such as standardized tests, and Tagging. Our electronic portfolios show a sampling of the breadth and depth of our students’ work conveying the range of knowledge, abilities, dispositions, performance, experiences, and achievements.
The following programs are implementing usage of electronic portfolios as n exploratory assessment activity with a possibility of permanent adoption in the future.
