Searching for Funding Sources?

The following links connect you to free services from which you can search several agencies or private funding sources. Each has its own procedures, explained on-line.

The Guide to U.S. Department of Education Programs and Resources, commonly referred to as the Guide to ED Programs, provides an overview of all Department of Education programs authorized and funded under federal law. It also includes information on competitions administered under these programs as well as on the laboratories, centers, and other facilities funded by the Department that provide important resources for education.

Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) Comprehensive Grants Program: The Comprehensive program is an annual competition for grants to support innovative reform projects which promise to be models for the solution of problems in postsecondary education. The more important the problem and the more innovative the proposed solution, the more likely to be funded.

The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is pleased to announce the AERA Grants Program, which provides small grants, fellowships, and training for researchers who conduct studies of education policy and practice using quantitative methods and including the analysis of data from the large-scale data sets sponsored by National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and the National Science Foundation (NSF)

 

Community of Science - For all disciplines, find funding opportunities, meetings and conferences, and search for colleagues with similar research interests. http://www.cos.com/

The Foundation Center serves as a central point for a large number of private foundations that provide funding for higher education.

The National Technical Information Service, an agency of the Department of Commerce, provides access to the Federal Register and to several governmental agencies, some of which are different from the ones in the RAMS-FIE Fedix database.

 

The League for Innovation in the Community College: The League is an international organization dedicated to promoting innovative teaching in the community college classroom.

Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C): The purpose of the Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) is to help learning organizations continually improve the quality of their educational programs.

Illinois Online Network:The Illinois Online Network (ION) is a collaboration of forty-eight community colleges and the University of Illinois working together to advance utilization of Internet-based instruction and service throughout the state of Illinois. ION provides an online education series and face-to-face training workshops.
