Evaluation

Criteria for Evaluation
Grades will be figured using your percentage of the total points.
20% Weekly Employment Record
  • Complete and submit to the coordinator at the end of each week.
20% Experience Paper
  • Complete and submit via email as a Word attachment on or before the first day of the 14th week of the fall or spring semesters or the 6th week of summer school.
  • Describe how your internship experience has broadened and/or changed your understanding of issues related to the office systems technology profession. Describe the general outcomes of your internship. Please relate how your course work did or didn't prepare you for this experience.
You should not restate what you did on a daily basis as that should be on your weekly employment record.
  • Use MS Word to prepare your paper.
  • Create 8-10 double-spaced pages, with one-inch margins, 12-point Arial font, and page numbers...not on the title page though!
  • Be sure to include a title page (this does not count as part of the 8-10 pages).
Use correct spelling and grammar. If you have questions about your writing, please visit LLCC's Writing Center.
    An appointment is often required.
20% Book Review
  • Complete and submit via email as a Word attachment on or before the first day of the 14th week of the fall or spring semesters or the 6th week of summer school.
  • Obtain and read a copy of the book, Who Moved My Cheese (by Spencer Johnson and Kenneth Blanchard), available in the LLCC Bookstore or at your local library.
  • Prepare a book review. You will include a brief summary of the characters in the book. Then, the majority of the paper should tie in at least 10 different cheese scenarios--typically one cheese scenario per page—to your internship experience, your COS degree, and your current/past life's personal and work-related circumstances.
  • Use MS Word to prepare your paper.
  • Create 8-10 double-spaced pages, with one-inch margins, 12-point Arial font, and page numbers...not on the title page though!
  • Be sure to include a title page and reference page with complete bibliographic information (these 2 pages do not count as part of the 8-10 pages).
  • Use correct grammar and spelling. If you have questions about your writing, please visit the LLCC Writing Center. An appointment is often required.
40% Site Supervisor’s Formal Evaluations
