      Welcome to the Eastern Region Education Center in Taylorville! We offer a wide range of courses designed for transfer to a four year university that include topics in the liberal arts, sciences, and humanities.  Not quite ready for college-level study? We offer developmental classes in math, English and reading as well as GED. Interested in a new career? The field of basic nurse assistant (CNA) is a high demand field with training offered in Taylorville. Welders are also in high demand in our area; at the EREC you can learn valuable skills to earn high pay. Other career minded courses include Word Processing and Graphic Specialist, Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement. Want to move up in your own job? Learning new computer skills or business techniques can boost your career.  Courses are offered throughout the day and evening for your convenience. 

      Our Construction Occupations program offers skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, residential wiring, and construction blueprint reading, whether you are planning for a career or simply building your own home, our classes are designed for you.

      We invite you to call or stop by if we can help you start smart through education and training.
