Financial Assistance is "earned" by attending class.  Students who withdraw from all courses after the 60% point of the semester are considered to have earned 100% of their aid.  Students who withdraw from all courses before the 60% point has been reached might have to repay the U.S. Department of Education and LLCC any "unearned" funds.  These students will also be responsible for paying any portion of their tuition, fees, and book charges not paid by their financial aid, which could be a substantial amount for our students.  Students who owe LLCC are not allowed to register for classes or have transcripts released.  Students who owe money to the U.S. Department of Education are not allowed to receive federal financial aid anywhere in the country.
