The intensive addresses the skills necessary to pursue employment in green construction-related fields by providing training in construction tools, equipment, and safety; advanced technical math; business communication; mechanical systems; building envelope; green materials and rating systems; carpentry; plumbing; electrical; and landscaping and site planning.
Upon completion of the green construction program, participants will obtain OSHA 10 certification and an opportunity to be placed in a career with high wage-earning potential or to continue on and earn an associate degree from LLCC.
Student selection for the program includes attendance at an orientation, a math and reading assessment and an individual interview. Students must have a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for the program.
