The second class of students will begin January 9, 2012. We are currently taking enrollment for the program on a first-come, first-serve basis through Nov. 12, 2011.

The intensive addresses the skills necessary to pursue employment in related renewable energy fields by providing training in advanced technical math; business communication and life skills; energy basics; renewable energy systems; solar thermal and PV installation and maintenance; small wind energy installation and maintenance; and and introduction to geothermal energy.

Upon completion of the renewable energy program, participants will obtain OSHA 10 certification; preparation to test for relevant and nationally recognized wind, solar, and geothermal industry certifications; and an opportunity to be placed in a career with high wage-earning potential or to continue on and earn an associate degree from LLCC.

Student selection for the program includes attendance at an orientation, a math and reading assessment and an individual interview.  Students must have a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for the program.
