Blackboard is an online learning management system. The templated web-based system allows instructors to develop online content. This online content can then be used to interact with and engage students.
iTunesU
Podcasting services delivery mechanism provided by Apple Inc. Used in conjunction with Blackboard course sections.
Softchalk
With Softchalk LessonBuilder, you can create professional-looking, interactive content without knowing any HTML, or programming. With this software you can easily create engaging, interactive web lessons for Blackboard integration.
Respondus
Respondus is used for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Blackboard.
TurnitIn
Turnitin is an online plagiarism detection system used through Blackboard to identify the use of unoriginal material.

Classroom technology and multimedia equipment support and training are provided by the ITDE department. Training sessions on the use of classroom technology and multimedia equipment are listed in the workshop and training page on this site. - Videotaping
- Video Editing
- Digital Image Editing
- Stored media production

Please note that projects involving multimedia development and production are subject to approval based on ITDE staff schedules and availability, as well as institutional priorities.

The following computer systems and related equipment are available for use in the ITDE lab:
- A digital video production station consisting of a Macintosh computer, VCR, connections for video cameras, an audio cassette player, and two DVD burners.
- Two macintosh workstations
- Four PC workstations
- Two with a flatbed scanner
- One with a photo scanner (scans photos, slides, and negatives)
- One with Windows Vista
- A Black and White laser printer
- A Color Laser Printer
- A Single Sheet Laminator
The following software is available for use in the ITDE lab:
- Acrobat: Allows you to create Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
- Camtasia: Screen recording software records mouse movement and and other activity from your PC desktop and then allows you to save it as a movie file. This software is useful for creating training presentations, showing websites, walkthrough, demonstrating software, and turning PowerPoint presentations into movies that can be saved for sharing on the web, CD-Rom, and portable media players.
- DVD Studio Pro: Used to develop professional quality Digital Video Disks (DVDs). (Only available for use on Macintosh computers.)
- Final Cut Pro: Digital video editing software for the advanced user that allows more flexibility in editing and end use. (Only available for use on Macintosh computers.)
- iMovie: This is digital video editing software specially designed to give beginners the power to create digital movies from existing digital video footage and to convert VHS video to digital video. (Only available for use on Macintosh computers.)
- Omnipage Pro: Document scanning software that allows you to convert a paper document into a word document or a PDF.
- Photoshop: Professional image editing software that allows you to produce images for print and the web.
