I-Share (LLCC, UIS, more...)
LLCC's online library catalog is a collection of books and media resources that is shared with libraries in CARLI (Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois). In addition to LLCC, you can search for materials from libraries such as UIS, the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois State, and others. As a student or employee of Lincoln Land Community College, you can request a book through interlibrary loan and have it delivered to the main campus library or to one of the regional centers.

WorldCat
Available through FirstSearch, WorldCat is an international book catalog that provides access to the library holdings from numerous academic libraries, including the Library of Congress and the British Library.  As a student or employee of Lincoln Land Community College, you can interlibrary loan books directly from WorldCat and have them delivered to the main campus library or one of the regional centers.

Provides indexing to our print journals and access to full-text articles from nearly 4,000 journals, magazines, and newspapers in general academic subject areas, business, and health areas, such as nursing.

First Search
Made up of a variety of individual databases, FirstSearch provides information about books, journal articles, films, and other materials in your  subject areas. 

Wilson Select Plus is a database available through FirstSearch that allows you to view full-text articles from journals and magazines.

Periodical Abstracts is a database available through FirstSearch that allows you to view full-text articles from journals and magazines.

Academic Universe (Lexis-Nexis)
A powerful full-text database of U.S. and foreign newspapers, business and government resources, and legal information from over 5,000 sources.

Alt-PressWatch
A full-text database of the newspapers, magazines and journals from alternative and independent presses. This interdisciplinary resource provides a valuable source of viewpoints and perspectives to complement and challenge mainstream media coverage.

Chronicle of Higher Education (Archive Requires Password)
Provides full-text access to the Chronicle's most recent issue and allows searching of its archive back to 1989.

Bloom's Literary Reference Online
Based on Facts on Files' extensive print literature collection, Bloom's Literary Reference Online examines the lives and works of great writers throughout history. It contains information on thousands of authors and their works, as well as 35,000 characters, an extensive glossary and more.

CQ Researcher
Provides full-text access to the CQ Researcher back to 1991.

CQ Global Researcher
 Provides focused, readable, single-topic reports on vital world issues.

Current Issues: Reference Shelf Plus
Provides full-text articles from key publications on social, scientific, health, political, and global issues, picked by Wilson editors for balanced information and insights.

Issues & Controversies
Provides full text online access covering controversial topics from 1995 to present.

Liebert Online (Off-Campus access requires password).
Contains limited full-text access to select journals in the areas of biomedical research, clinical medicine and surgery, law, and science.

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
Provides full-text access to many books giving both sides of controversial topics and trusted statistical information from the Information Plus reference series.

Oxford English Dictionary
The full Oxford English Dictionary is now online! The OED will no longer be published in book form, so all updates to this massive dictionary will be made available only to this electronic edition.

Oxford Reference Online
Provides access to a cross-searchable dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press.

CARLI Digital Collections 
Established in 2006 as a repository for digital content licensed or created by the member libraries of the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI).

Catena, the Digital Archive of Historic Gardens and Landscapes
The primary mission of Catena, the Digital Archive of Historic Gardens and Landscapes, is to fill a void in American higher education by assembling a searchable collection of historic and contemporary images that include plans, engravings, paintings, and photographs.

CORSAIR (Pierpont Morgan Library) Images from Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts
Thousands of digital images from the Pierpont Morgan Library’s renowned collection of Medieval and Renaissance manuscripts are now available in CORSAIR. The collection spans some ten centuries of Western illumination, and contains manuscripts from all the major schools, including some of the great masterpieces of medieval manuscript art. CORSAIR currently offers more than twenty thousand medieval images, and the number is constantly growing.

Library of Congress Prints & Photographs Online Catalog
The Prints & Photographs Online Catalog (PPOC) provides access through group or item records to more than 50% of the Division's holdings, as well as to some images found in other units of the Library of Congress. Many of the catalog records are accompanied by digital images--about one million digital images in all.

A collection of full-text electronic books.

New York Public Library Digital Gallery
This is a searchable database of 275,000 images digitized from primary sources and printed rarities in the collections of the New York Public Library, including illuminated manuscripts, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints and photographs, illustrated books, and printed ephemera.  Materials represent the applied sciences, fine and decorative arts, history, performing arts, and social sciences.

SASKIA Art Images Collection 
Contains 30,000 digital images of paintings, sculpture and architecture, including images from many important collections: the Prado, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Uffizi, and the Louvre as well as archaeological sites in Greece, Italy, Turkey and Egypt. The images are displayed in both high resolution and thumbnail format. Additionally, the descriptive data about the images includes references to the occurrences of these images in 19 major art history texts. Access to Saskia is provided by the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI). More information about the Saskia collection may be found at http://www.saskia.com/

WorldImages
WorldImages is the online gateway to the California State University IMAGE project.  It contains over 50,000 images, is global in coverage, and includes all areas of visual imagery.  The images may be freely used for non-profit educational purposes.  Images can be can be browsed by using one of the 16 main subject groupings--such as Art & Architecture, Natural World, and Religion, Myth, & Magic--or may be searched using categories such as "art form," "keyword," and "artist."
