Library Resources

Using Google Scholar at LLCC

Did you know you can search Google Scholar to find LLCC electronic resources. Our resources are loaded into Google Scholar; making Google Scholar an invaluable search tool for both free and subscriptions resources. When at the LLCC library you simply search Google Scholar because Google will recognize that you are on campus.

When off campus you will need to set up your library preferences by performing the following steps:

  • Go to Scholar Preferences.
  • Type the name of your library in the 'Library Links' section. Google limits to three. LLCC recommends:
    • Lincoln Land Community College- Provided by LLCC Library
    • Lincoln Land Comm College- EBSCOhost Full Text
    • Open WorldCat- Library Search
  • Click Save preferences.
  • Start searching with links to your library's resources (you may need to authenticate yourself to access these resources using your LLCC login creditials).

If you have questions about Google Scholar please contact Jared Wellman in the Library or ask one of the other friendly LLCC librarians.
