 Thanks to Tony Rothering, professor of biology and 2008 Pearson Master Teacher at LLCC, who has donated his $5,000 award back to LLCC for construction of two bird blinds. Wild Birds Unlimited donated bird feeders that were installed Nov. 12 in two campus locations; one behind the prairie area north of Menard Hall, and one near the creek and bridge west of Sangamon Hall. The bird feeders and bird seed are in place. The bird blind north of Menard will be constructed later this fall; the blind near the bridge will go up in the spring. These will allow students, faculty, staff and the community to observe the birds at the feeders up close.
