This course is an introduction to microorganisms: bacteria, fungi, protozoa, algae and viruses. Emphasis is placed on the role of microbes in health and disease. Topics covered include cell structure, culture techniques, genetics, immunology, and genetic engineering. IAI: NUR 905
Prerequisite: BIO 101 or its equivalent (Completion of or simultaneous enrollment in general chemistry is recommended.)
