Lincoln Land Community College’s summer program “College for Kids” offers exciting learning experiences for students in Springfield and surrounding areas July 7-10, 14-17 and 21-24 on the LLCC Springfield campus. Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and are designed for students who have completed kindergarten through eighth grades as of spring 2014. Students can choose three, one-hour classes for a total of $125, or a three-hour culinary class for $185.

A session of College for Kids will also be held in Jacksonville, on the campus of the Illinois School for the Deaf, June 10-13 for students who have finished grades 3-8. Classes offered in Jacksonville include American Sign Language, Animation Art, Baking Basics, Beginning Crochet, Color Puzzling, Dragon Genetics, Let’s Deal!, Perspectives, Recycled Rhythm, TP Geometry and Vehicle Design.
