 Law Enforcement (LEA)
  • Provides students with the skills and knowledge required of today’s police officer.
  • Primary study areas include administration, criminal laws and procedures, police and community relations, and criminal investigation.
  • Career cluster includes county, municipal, state, and federal police officers.
  • Offers a degree in applied science for individuals entering directly into the work force, as well as a Community Police Officer certificate.
  • In conjunction with the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office, we sometimes offer an occupational program for a certificate in Applied Security Practices (SLP).
