How has Lincoln Land Community College impacted your life?

LLCC definitely had a great impact on my life! I would not have gone to college had LLCC not been there in the fall of 1968. I went on to finish my degree at WIU.

What is your greatest accomplishment(s)?

I was named Illinois Crime Stopper Coordinator of the Year three times. In 1994, I was named International Crime Stopper Coordinator of the Year. I proudly was elected five times and served the residents of Sangamon County as sheriff.

Was there a professor, advisor, staff member or fellow student who made an impression on you or helped you when you were here at LLCC?

Counselors Ms. Davis and Mr. Coop, as well as instructor, Ralph Gies.

What advice do you have for current or future LLCC students?

Take advantage of all that LLCC has to offer. You can save money and receive a quality education while staying close to home.

What did you like about LLCC or what is your favorite LLCC memory?

Great teachers, small class sizes, able to stay home and work. All my credits transferred to WIU and helped me for a career in law enforcement.
