LLCC FAFSA School Code: 007170
Students who need or are entitled to financial assistance for attendance at LLCC will find help in the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office is responsible for administering traditional federal and state financial aid programs including grants, loans, and work-study. Students should apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Financial Aid Office also administers programs benefiting many students including veterans, scholarship recipients, and students with disabilities. College Illinois is also administered by the Financial Aid Office.
Many programs administered by the Financial Aid Office have limited funds. Students who apply early have a much better chance of obtaining all the assistance for which they might be eligible. Most federal and state programs require students to be enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester.
Please feel free to contact us for additional information and application assistance!
It’s time to fill out your FAFSA for the 2015-2016 school year!
Get started filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
You must renew your FAFSA each school year. Complete yours as soon as possible to be eligible for the most financial aid! When you complete the FAFSA, you are also applying for a grant from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission called the MAP grant. Funding is limited and is awarded to the students who meet the criteria that apply first.
The LLCC Financial Aid Office is hosting FAFSA Completion Workshops in the Library Conference Room on the Springfield campus to assist you. No registration is needed; please join us at one of these dates/times:

NOTICE: In April 2015, Department of Education will be implementing a new login process for their websites, including FAFSA on the web, NSLDS Student Access, StudentLoans.gov, and StudentAid.gov. The new FSA ID, which will be comprised of a user-selected username and password, will replace the Federal Student Aid PIN as the process by which students and parents authenticate their identity as well as electronically sign documents such as the FAFSA.
The change is being made to eliminate the need for individuals to enter personal identifiers (Social Security number, name and date of birth) when accessing Federal Student Aid’s systems. The transition should be very seamless, and existing users will be able to the link their PIN information to their FSA ID.
More information will be posted once additional announcements are made by Department of Education.
The Financial Aid office is located on the main level of Menard Hall on the main campus in Springfield (click for a map).
