First time student using Accessibility Services

  1. Begin your college experience by applying online.
  2. Forward your final high school or home school transcripts to our Admission and Registration Office. If you plan to meet with an advisor before the end of your senior year, bring your current transcript with you at that time.
  3. Complete the FAFSA application at https://fafsa.ed.gov (LLCC Code is 007170)
  4. Schedule an appointment with Kim Eddings, Accessibility Services Coordinator, at 217-786-2599. Bring your IEP, psychological evaluation, 504 plan or a letter from your physician that details your diagnosis or disability.
  5. Complete Placement Testing (if required). Please discuss placement testing options during your appointment with Kim Eddings.
  6. Reserve your spot at the next New Student Orientation session (NSO) in person with Admission and Registration in Menard Hall at LLCC-Springfield or call 217-786-2292. Or, call your nearest LLCC Outreach Center.
  7. Schedule an appointment with Ms. Laurie Clemons, Academic Advisor, to review degree/certificate requirements, make course selections, and register for classes. Both the New Student Orientation and Placement Testing must be completed prior to this appointment.
  8. Schedule a follow-up appointment with Kim Eddings at 217-786-2599. Bring your course schedule to discuss academic accommodations.
