FAQs for Students

The answers to many of the frequently asked questions students have about technology (WebAdvisor, account activation, error messages, etc.) can be found in this section.  

In addition to these FAQs LLCC students, faculty and staff can access the Help Desk's extensive Knowledge Base by logging in to the Help Desk website at http://help.llcc.edu/userui/advisory_library.php.  Users will be prompted to enter their LLCC User Account information to access the Knowledge Base.

From the WebAdvisor main menu, click on Current Students to access the current students screen.  Under Academic Profile (found in the lower right quadrant of the screen), click on Grades.  Select the term requested and then click on the Submit button.  You will be able to view your grades for that term.  

Visit the Account Activation page where you will find directions how to activate your account along with a step by step video.  You will need your Social Security Number and your LLCC ID Number.  After reviewing the instructions, follow the account activation link to begin activating your account.

Note: New students will need to meet with an Academic Advisor prior to the first time they take classes at LLCC before web registration is available.

The ITS Help Desk can be contacted by email or by phone.  Send an email to hd@llcc.edu. Please include a complete description of the issue you are experiencing or the type of assistance you need.  You can call us at 217.786.2555 (extension 62555 from campus phones). Callers will be presented with several options to choose from based on the type of problem you are calling to report.

Click HERE (the Help Desk application will open in a new browser window).
Log in using your LLCC credentials (the username and password you use for email, WebAdvisor, Blackboard and other LLCC network resources).

Fill out the form.  Be sure to include all relevant information to assist the technicians in resolving the problem quickly.

Click on the "Save" button.  Your ticket will be routed to the appropriate technician.  You will receive an email with your ticket information and a link to your ticket so you can monitor its progress or add additional comments to further assist your technician.

You can reset or change your password by following THESE instructions.  If you are unable to reset or change your password, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 217.786.25555 for assistance.

If you receive the error message that you cannot be uniquely identified, please contact Admissions and Records at 217.786.2298 to verify your personal information and make any corrections.

Please wait approximately 30 minutes after corrections have been made to your account before you attempt to activate your account again.

If you receive the error message "no email account is on file", you cannot activate your account until you have registered for your first semester with a Registration Services Representative. If you are a returning student and receive this error message, you must register in person before your account is available for activation.

Your LLCC ID Number (also known as your LLCC Student ID Number) is a seven-digit number that uniquely identifies you in our systems.  This number is unique to you and only you.  You can find your LLCC ID Number on your class schedule.  

You use this number to activate your LLCC User Account which gives you access to WebAdvisor, Blackboard, email, and computers on the LLCC campus.
