SPRINGFIELD – Lincoln Land Community College is seeking former LLCC volleyball players to participate in the 1st Annual LLCC Alumni Volleyball Scrimmage Saturday, August 16.

“We are doing this to provide a scrimmage for this year’s squad with live competition, but also - and more importantly - to bring former teammates together to get back in touch and have a great time with friends and family,” said LLCC Volleyball Coach Jim Dietz. 

Any former LLCC volleyball player interested in participating is asked to contact Coach Dietz at 786.2485 or jim.dietz@llcc.edu. Cost is $12.  Each player will receive an LLCC alumni uniform shirt. 

Alumni squads will be coached by former LLCC volleyball standout Alison Langheim and former LLCC volleyball coach Angie Peterson Riggle.

Everyone is invited to watch the games at no admission charge. 

The day’s schedule is:

• 1-3 p.m.: Gym available for alumni to practice
• 3 p.m.: Warm-ups
• 4 p.m.: 2008 LLCC vs. Alumni Team #1
• 5:30 p.m.: 2008 LLCC vs. Alumni Team #2
• 7 p.m.: Complimentary dinner for current and alumni players
