18-hour Registration Blitz Thurs., Aug. 7

Registration Blitz” Aug. 7 at Lincoln Land Community College main campus

Students still working on their “game plan” for fall college classes are invited to Lincoln Land Community College’s 18 hour Registration Blitz on Thursday, August 7. The event, from 6:00 a.m. to midnight on the main campus, allows students to complete the admission and registration process for fall semester classes, all in one stop.

The Registration Blitz takes place in the student services hallway of Menard Hall. A full staff will be on hand to help students through the enrollment and registration process. The extended hours of the event are designed to assist working individuals and others unable to visit campus during regular business hours. Families are welcome to attend, with refreshments and prizes, including gas cards, featured. The LLCC Bookstore will also have a sidewalk sale.

Students are asked to bring any high school or college grade transcripts, if available, and those interested in financial aid should bring 2007 tax returns. Payment by cash, check or credit card is expected at the time of registration. A payment plan is available which requires a $25 fee and a minimum of 25 percent down payment. Placement tests are required for some enrolling students and take an average of one and one half hours.

Fall classes begin Aug. 23.
